The mission of the Kitasato University School of Nursing is to provide leadership to improve the health care of individuals, families, communities and populations through nursing education, research and practice.
The Kitasato University School of Nursing was established in 1986 in response to the overwhelming need for higher nursing education. The School offered its first bachelor's degree in 1990, the first master's degree in 1992, and its first PhD in 2001. Today, our more than 2,000 alumni are making significant contributions to health care in local, national and global communities.
The School of Nursing offers an array of educational programs to prepare students for leadership roles in professional nursing. Currently, there are over 400 undergraduates and 30 graduates seeking degrees in the following:
