The Kitasato Institute was established by Dr. Shibasaburo Kitasato, who made various achievements together with great honors in the predawn period of modern medicine. This institute is located on the “Shirokane Campus,” which currently has facilities including the corporate headquarter and the School of Pharmacy as the birthplace of the university, and many related facilities such as the Kitasato Institute Hospital, the Institute of Practical Training of the School of Pharmacy are also located here. This campus with venerable temples, embassies, and parks in its vicinity makes a quiet and peaceful atmosphere producing an ideal educational environment, and supports students as an easy-to-commute “urban campus.”
