The principal concept guiding the foundation of the Initiative is engaging in education. Through these efforts, we promote and stimulate basic and clinical-oriented medical research in a range of medical science fields. Kitasato University Graduate School of Medical Sciences accepts talented individuals from around the world. The Initiative accepts grantees of both Japanese government (MEXT) and non-Japanese government scholarships for master's and doctorate degree programs.
We support graduate students to promote and stimulate basic research in their respective fields. The cornerstone of our efforts is a training grant that enables graduate students to visit facilities around the world with which we have international exchange agreements.
The Initiative supports international collaboration to advance critically needed and mutually beneficial fields at national levels or areas important at an interdisciplinary level.
