研究内容  生殖機能を調節する内分泌系の働きを幅広く研究しています。特に、視床下部・下垂体・性腺軸と呼ばれる機能系を中心に据えて、それぞれの器官内での局所調節機序と離れた器官を血液を介して調節するホルモンの作用について新しい発見をしています。下垂体前葉の性腺刺激ホルモン産生細胞(ゴナドトロフ)で、性腺刺激ホルモン分泌に必須のタンパク質を発見しました。このタンパク質を手掛かりにして、視床下部ホルモンであるGnRHの末梢作用の解明を勧めています。また、情報を担う脂質分子にも着目し、卵巣で卵胞が発育し、排卵が起こり、黄体機能が調節される過程での働きについても研究しています。

2)GnRH受容体特異的蛋白質アネキシン5の機能解明:シグナルトランスダクション機序
3)末梢に発現する視床下部ホルモンGnRHの機能:GnRHの細胞増殖調節に関わる遺伝子の解析
4)脂質メディエーターの生殖機能調節における役割:エイコサノイドの卵巣周期における調節機能
